A Conversation With Matt Green
Please join us on April 28th, at The New School, for a fascinating encounter with “walker extraordinaire”, Matt Green. Matt, the subject of a new documentary The World Before Your Feet, has for the past seven years been walking every street in the city of New York, actively noticing what is there to be noticed. Not only is he present to his experience, he also researches and documents what he sees along the way. Maxine would have loved him! Visit the blog he keeps as he journeys through the city spaces.
The documentary, created by Jeremy Workman and produced by Jesse Eisenberg, follows him over the course of two years of this journey. Certain questions come to mind: Why does he do it? What might we learn from him about encountering the world in a more wide-awake way?
