I4 Conference-CNR

On October 3, 2015, The College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, NY and The Maxine Greene Center will be hosting the third annual Institute for Imagination, Inquiry and Innovation (I-4) conference. This year’s theme is “STEAM Towards Equity”. We are offering invitations this year to those who exemplify fine practice in STEAM that supports Equity issues including racial, economic, gender and accsesability concerns.

The goal of I-4 is to bring together innovative thinkers and practitioners who exemplify outstanding practice.  It provides an opportunity to address important issues, and to foster connections amongst imaginative thinkers and practitioners from broad fields, such as education, legal systems, medicine, healthcare, math, technology, engineering, science, business, liberal arts, and performing and fine arts.

This year, we have asked presenters to demonstrate ways that creatively demonstrate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Aesthetics & Math) within a range of disciplines. Presenters may share new research initiatives, innovative applications or creative teaching. Presenters have options to be members of a panel, give a presentation, run interactive workshops and demonstrations, or exhibit a poster.

Anticipated attendees are those from the fields of science, education, medicine, healthcare, business, law, economics, arts, media and communication, technology, and social justice.

To register please go to cnr.edu/steam and receive your 20% discount as a member of The Maxine Greene Center
